Lafayette Urban Ministry Shelter Meal

Our congregation helps at the Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM) homeless shelter once a month by preparing the shelter’s evening meal. We always are scheduled to do this on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Contact Mark Thomas in the church office (765) 743-1347 or sheep@goodshep.org to volunteer.

Lafayette Urban Ministry Shelter Night Service

Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM), which is located at 525 N. Fourth St. in Lafayette, always needs people to volunteer to spend the night helping at the shelter (one training session required) and LUM has a variety of other volunteer opportunities available. Outreach

  • Our organization operates as a church and as a campus ministry, and our vestry is comprised of both students and non-students. This participation at the leadership level by students translates into ministry programming that is directed, as well as led, by the students themselves.
